Tapestry Necklace

Wear a piece of history with our tapestry necklace. This classic blue and white combo features an antique Chinese mother of pearl gaming counter. These antique 'poker chips' were hand carved and etched from large oyster shells in the 18th and 19th centuries and brought into Europe by traders or commissioned by well off families and used for scoring and bidding in card games. This particular example is rectangular with detailed carving on the sides. It has been etched with fine geometric and floral designs and has a beautiful design of two doves on the one side. A delicate dark blue lapis rosary chain finishes off a truly special piece!
